Green events are events which are planned, organized, and carried out according to environmental criteria. In doing so, such factors as energy efficiency, solid waste management, regional added value, and social responsibility are taken into account. Green events are based on the principle of sustainability, so that resources are conserved and – in the long term – costs are reduced. Social and cultural accents are placed in order to mobilize the attention of the public and of the media on the sustainability aspects. The trend towards ecologically friendlier events is gaining more and more momentum.
The Alois Lageder Winery has made it its goal to observe sustainability criteria in planning, organizing, and conducting the Summa10. To achieve this, we are co-operating with Ökoinstitut Südtirol to develop a Green Event Management Plan containing short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals for all of the relevant topics.
In keeping with the principles of the Green Event, we would like to encourage you to use public transit systems in order to reach Summa 10.
